1993. The seed is sown (at age 10!)
In my youth, my parents weren't particularly "into" Renault. My father was more of a Citroën enthusiast at heart — although he later moved towards other brands (everyone can slip up! 😀).
However, in 1993, at the ripe old age of 10, I was completely blown away: the thunderous launch of the Twingo! The press was calling it a "mini Renault Espace," and I was glued to the ads. I still remember very clearly the campaign with the fake car keys in the mailbox: if it opened the Twingo at the dealership, the car was yours! Needless to say, at ten years old, it was a total dream come true.
From factories to IT: Training in rigor
For as long as I can remember, I've always been passionate about anything that moves: cars, trucks, bicycles. But before I put the hood down in a garage, I started with theory and design.
- Step 1: The automotive industry. With an industrial background, I cut my teeth at Stellantis (formerly PSA). A real immersion into the heart of manufacturer standards and technical requirements!
- Step 2: Information technology. Drawn to logic, I pursued studies in computer science. An excellent school for learning to listen to a need, dissect a complex system and provide a solution with millimeter precision.
Evenings and weekends — Getting their hands dirty and a love for youngtimers
During these early professional years, a pivotal encounter rekindled my passion for mechanics. I dove headfirst into the world of Youngtimers and complete restoration.
Whether it's restoring classic cars to their former glory or preparing 4x4s built for off-roading, I've lost count of the weekends spent dismantling, tuning, and optimizing demanding machines. But the outdoors kept calling to me… I had to make it my profession!
The Big Leap — From Independent Garage to Dealerships
I decided to take the plunge and experience the automobile from all angles:
- Workshop side: I am joining an independent garage (MRA) to experience the reality on the ground — pure mechanics, bodywork and emergency repairs.
- On the commercial side: I moved into selling new and used vehicles (private individuals, then companies and commercial vehicles), supported by the confidence of an exceptional manager.
It was around this time that my path crossed with that of the Twingo 1 again. A real joy to sell: simple, reliable, and incredibly well-designed. About ten years later, seduced by its modularity and iconic design, I finally bought one myself as a second car!
The industrial vehicle school — The «zero downtime” culture
Building on my commercial and technical experience, I then moved into managing a site in the industrial vehicle sector. In this industry, time is literally money.
I am developing specialized expertise in three key areas:
- Industrial bodywork and its complex assemblies.
- The spare part, its sourcing, its quality and its absolute traceability.
- Overall maintenance of vehicles subjected to harsh conditions.
Today — The birth of Froggy Parts
